In the Endocrine Pathology chapter of Pathoma on Pg. 169 and at about 7:12 on Video 15.10 at 1.4x speed the text states "Primary hyperaldosteronism is most commonly due to sporadic adrenal hyperplasia; adrenal adenoma and adrenal carcinoma are less common causes," but in the Video he states that Adrenal Adenoma is more common and that hyperplasia and adrenal carcinoma are much less common (which is also what Goljan says on Pg. 105). Is this an error that just wasn't posted in the Pathoma Errata? Wikipedia tells me that adrenal adenoma is more common at 66% but recent studies have shown that hyperplasia is now more common at 75%. How do I remedy the apparent mistake in Pathoma? Is Hyperplasia the most common cause?
Thanks for any insight.
