I seems not to be able to hit over 45% on UW ... I studied really good during my two years of med school and for step I, I have read FA 2x, Goljan book 2X, BRS path 1X, BRS physio 2X, Goljan audio 1X, Lipincot pharm 1X, lipincot bio chem 1x, I just took NBME 1 and I scored 340 ... barly pass ...

I am studying 12hs everyday non stop for the past 3 weeks ...

What am I doing wrong? I have 3 weeks to go ... I am pissing my pants right now

please advice me

Why are you missing questions? Is it because you don't know the content or is it due to test-taking skills like time management, misreading questions, etc?

So when you go through First Aid and Golgan, are you READING it or STUDYING it? Because I find that for me, there is an enormous difference. If I just read it, I'm like, "oh yeah, I remember that..." But I really have to read it, understand it, memorize it, forget it, and do it all over again." I think that if you just read these sources that isn't very productive.

I'm also trying to get better with UWorld questions by asking myself what THEY'RE asking... then coming up with some sort of diagnosis, what is the drug being used, and then asking myself what the mechanism is... it sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't because I haven't even hit the organ systems yet.

Did you seriously read all those books in 3 weeks?

That's my question too. That's a lot of material for 3 weeks, and I would guess that the info is kind of bouncing off the OPs brain. Do you study actively or just read? For me, if I just read there's no way I remember the details. I need to jot things down now and then, maybe draw out the biochem pathways once or twice, repeat the side effects of a drug 5 times, etc.

how much time do you have left? sounds like you are missing the fundamental concepts that are commonly tested. consider using UW on tutor mode and non-random. review the topic you are on in FA then do UW for that corresponding section on tutor. this will drive home the major points and focus you in on whats important.

I don't want to come off as rude, but it sounds like English is not your primary language. Is this true? It may be affecting your score.
