Hi everyone! So this is my first time posting and I was hoping you guys could help me with my school list 🙂 So far I'm considering these schools, I'm not sure which schools I should remove or add.

UW
UOP
Western
USC
University of Pittsburgh
Virginia Commonwealth
NYU
Indiana
Iowa
Columbia
Marquette
Detroit Mercy
Michigan
UPenn
Maryland
Buffalo
UCSF
Lecom
Midwestern
ASDOH
Nova

Just a little bit more info: I'm a Washington resident. I transferred from community college to the University of Washington my junior year and graduated in 2013 with a bachelors in biology. I have about 200 hours of shadowing and have about 1000 hours of community service.

sgpa: 3.34 cgpa: 3.48 I feel like my gpa is pretty low but I have an upward trend, (did much better my last two years of undergrad at UW than my first two years at cc)
DAT: AA-22, TS-23, PAT-26, Bio-22, GC-24, OC-24, RC-22, QR-20

Thanks for the help!

Your stats are fine, your DAT is great and with better grades are your 4 year school vs a CC those will all play in your favor. I'd drop Mercy, Buffalo, UCSF, because of low OOS acceptance and probably LECOM unless you really want to go there.

Mercy is private and accepts a good number of OOS and Canadians.

That's way lower than I thought it would be. I think # of Canadians alone is around 20% at Mercy. Guess they have lower # of oos because they accept so many Canadians.
I was surprised too. I thought it would be higher but when I saw it in the 20% range on Doc's list I thought it was strange. I briefly looked on the Mercy website to see if they had a breakdown by state/country for acceptance but I didn't see anything..but I didn't look all that hard either.

Thanks for the advice. My top choices are UW and UOP. Is LECOM not oos friendly? I was also thinking about dropping Iowa and I've heard that USC isn't oos friendly either.

Your stats are better than average for LECOM, but some people like the area and the school and there is nothing wrong with that. Iowa, from what other posters have said, gives good scholarships for OOS so I would keep them.
