What important experiences should be included in my resume`? Shadowing, volunteering,etc. How detail?
That would be great if someone can tell me the outlines. Thanks.

Definitely do some shadowing, or else you won't have a good informed idea about the profession. Also it'll greatly help you with your application/interview! And there's not really an outline per se, just do enough volunteering so you learn about what the optometrist does everyday. Try to ask the doctor questions. Observe what he does, the tone he uses to talk to patients, etc.
