NSU has some in-state bias, but it's not the strongest of them all... whether you should apply depends on how badly you're interested in them.

If money isn't an issue I don't see a reason to cut any of them out right away. I think the 3 new schools all have a little bit of bias. Marian, for example is trying to increase the number of primary care physicians in Indiana so they will probably favor in state people. Alabama, if I'm not mistaken, is geared more towards rural medicine (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) so I'm assuming there's a bias for that. I'm not sure about Campbell actually, didn't apply there. Hope that helps! 👍

jelly of your stats. Especially EC's. IDK how im going to get all of those volunteer/shadow hours at the same time as taking classes and studying for MCAT lol

good luck brah

Your upward trend is ok, but not great since it looks like you tanked your pre-reqs.

Anyhow, your stats are more or less competitive everywhere. What types of things are you looking for specifically? Are you looking to cut your list of schools down to a certain number?

Just a note: You can't apply to both VCOM- CC and VCOM - Va. You have to pick one or the other. The good news is that if you picked the Va campus and got waitlisted, they sometimes offer you a spot at the CC campus if there is room.

Money isn't an issue, I could apply to all but I'd like to be smart about it and rule out the ones that will flat out reject me because of my stats and/or state of residence.

Hmm, I think I'll call the 3 new schools and ask them directly if someone from NJ has any chance of being accepted.

@Vita, just to make sure I understood correctly: If I get waitlisted at VCOM-VA, I could possibly be offered a seat at VCOM-CC even though I did not send my primaries and secondaries to VCOM-CC? I'm guessing VCOM-VA would forward my apps to VCOM-CC and I would not have to re-interview at VCOM-CC?

I'd like to see a 30 on your MCAT, other than that the stats are great.

Hey, *deleted*! Yeah, I posted in "What are my chances?" a couple of months ago. Hope everything's going well with your applications!

@ES2 Thanks! I'm not retaking the MCAT this cycle, though.
