Need help with this question...

So i am not sure how to go about the "why should we accept you into our school?" question. I have NO idea how to start it out and i have been sitting here for hours trying to figure it out. Also...what kinds of things should i list here? I dont want it to sound like i am re-listing my activities and leadership etc from my application but then again, i feel like i should be including evidence as to why i am a good leader and why i am a hard worker etc. I just need some general help here to get a good flow going...

You should be able to answer the question, "What makes me different from all other applicants?" Sure, there may be a lot of similarities between you and others in the applicant pool, but your set of experiences have collectively created a unique individual and that can set you apart from others.

Completely agree. You will have similarities with other applicants.. its such a broad and enraging question. Just do your best to answer it. If its making lists, why u wanna go into medicine, your past experiences, etc. lstone you still at UGA? I went there 😉

What makes you different from the 5K-10K applicants at their school this year? Most everyone is going to have been the president of BLANK club and had a bazillion hours of clinical experience. Some are likely to have higher stats and a more impressive back-story.

Do some research about the school and become excited about the curriculum, rotation hospitals, anything! If the school has a special program you like, talk about how well it fits you. Write about anything that will make you stand out because as far as most of these schools are concerned, you are your stats. 😱

I would tell them what makes you special over others apps. What can you bring to the class that makes you worth taking. Whether u are extremely smart, have more clinical experience, advanced degrees.
