Ok guys I need some serious help. This is a new account to keep my privacy, but here is the rundown. I recently was accepted into my dental state school. On my application I said "no" to this question. Have you ever been found to have violated a school rule, policy or procedure, or an honor code; or have you otherwise been disqualified, put on probation, suspended, dismissed, expelled, or otherwise been subject to disciplinary action at any college/university in connection to misconduct? Please include any and all instances of misconduct, regardless of whether the school maintains a record of such misconduct or formal action, or whether it appears on your transcript.

I just found out I have an "official warning" for being in the presence of alcohol on campus in a dorm. It also says on the report that I was NOT drinking but just in the room where drinking was going on. Is this totally going to kill my chances now?
I honestly forgot about this situation because I never was reprimanded or punished because I wasn't drinking. I need help and fast on what to do. Should I call the dental schools that I interview at? The one that accepted me already knows now since the paperwork was sent over.

Idk man I would say email them and tell them your situation. good luck buddy.

You should be fine. My boyfriend got the exact same "warning"in our freshman year for being in the presence of alcohol in a dorm, but not actually drinking. He did put it on his application, but his advisor told him that it wasn't necessary since it was just a res life warning. He got into plenty of med schools, and no one ever brought it up. You can call the school that you're accepted to and explain if you're really worried, but I wouldn't bother with other schools until you know if you're accepted or not. Good luck!

Lol. Don't worry about it. Those reslife warnings don't mean anything. You have to be caught like 3+ times or something before they actually do anything about it and even then, they might just require you to talk to somebody haha.

Even though it was a reslife warning, it still was in the university records.🙁
