Hi,
My friend has passed pharmacy(a 4 year degree) in 2003.He is planning to write FPGEE,but according to new rules he has to have a 5 year pharmacy degree.He called the pharmacy board but they say that he cant add on to his degree by doing Mpharm here.Is there anyway he could b eligible?

I think his only hope would be to investigate one of the
Post Baccalaureate Pharm.D. degree programs such as Nova
University in Florida or the University of Idaho. That will cost him about 2-3 years if he can get in, but such a degree would make him eligible to sit for the NABPLEX.

Obviously he will need to badly want to come here to put himself
through all that. It has been done, however. I went to school with
a vietnamese pharmacist who had his own store for several years before arriving in the U.S. He endured the entire 5 year program again in a new language yet. Talk about steel willed determination!

It is the applicant's responsibility to have this course work evaluated, and an official evaluation must be sent to the EPS (Enrollment Processing Services).

The British and Australian systems seem to be fairly dissimilar
to the American/Canadian systems. I investigated moving my American degree to Australia and found out it would take at least a year of coursework and a year of internship before I could even think about challenging their APEC II exam
