Hey... I will give PCAT test in August... Please can you suggest me, Which books are good for prepration... Really, I forget Biology and org Chemistry... so I have to more focus in that one...

I used the Kaplan pcat book. I feel it was a good resource to prepare with, but I recommend you look into something different to prepare for the math section.

The New kaplan PCAT 2010-2011 edition is coming out this June. I had already pre orded mine. here is the link http://www.amazon.com/Kaplan-PCAT-2...bs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1237916615&sr=8-5.
I really hope this edition covers O.Chem unlike from what I heard of the 2008-2009 edition

if you really want to be sure and don't want to wait for the new edition PCAT book, just buy a MCAT prep book, kaplan or otherwise. I didn't buy a PCAT book, just used my old MCAT book. Once you can do the MCAT, you'll ace the PCAT for sure. Getting a 32 composit on MCAT will get you 98% percentile on PCAT (in my case). 😀

For Verbal Section, I highly highly recommend Kaplan flashcards -- they got me in the 90's in verbal.
For reading comp, read as many books, academic journals, novels, articles, magazines (like the Economist for example) as you can. Doing that scored me a 99 in reading comprehension.

Good luck!

I think I had the 2007 Kaplan book, and I thought the math, verbal, and o-chem sections were weak. There are plenty of verbal books (I shot for going over the GRE level words).

I did get a separate book on calculus, since that was the area I needed the most review on, and on o-chem. The general chem section on both the 2007 and 2008 Kaplan books (the last two editions) are more than sufficient, in my opinion.

review your writing before you submit the final product....just in general.

I felt the materials I received from the class helped a lot. I have a couple books that were like any of the ones you would pick up at Barnes and Noble. I also have a lesson book, flashcards, and ALL my practice tests (from the class) and they were a huge help....Im selling these if anyone is interested....please email me at [email protected].
