IF any med students could post their opinions pros/cons of the AHEC program at their school it would be greatly appreciated

Mmmm not sure what you mean? AHEC here is the group that puts you up in housing and sets up rotations at places outside of our main hospital. Is that what you're referring to? What do you want to know?

NO AHEC is Area Health Education Centers, at my school it is this program which in theory places medical students out at various health delivery agencies so they are exposed to different ways that people access care. At least that is the theory from community health people.

What do you want to know? They sent us to rural areas and paid for our housing. It was a great experience (but boring town...too rural). I also worked with the agency (not through my school) and it was kind of a pain to work with them because they were kind of disorganized, but still a good experience. Again, not sure what you want to know about AHEC!
