So I will be starting at UCSD pharmacy school in the fall, and I was planning on working as a pharm tech until sometime in July. I don't live in San Diego at the moment and would like time off to travel/relax/ and get settled in at school.

Back in October when I got certified, I applied everywhere I could. I finally got hired at a compounding pharmacy, but I've found that I simply don't like compounding. I care a lot about my health, and let's just say they don't have the best safety practices at my work. I gave a two weeks notice a few weeks ago, but they promised to find other sorts of jobs/research for me to do, in between compounding, if I would stay. The 'other jobs' did not last and I was not happy with the fact that I did only compounding this week.

Here is the dilemma: yesterday I received a call from Target asking if I was still interested in a pharmacy tech position. I applied months ago, so they asked me to re-submit an online app and I will have an interview next week. I would love to try working at Target, but I will feel bad that I will be leaving in a few months. Is it wrong to start now? Do you think they will even hire me if I tell them I will be starting school in a different city in the fall?
OR should I just stick out my compounding job a little longer?

Thanks for any input!

you have to look out for yourself because no one else is going to.

that being said if this is a way to better yourself i think you should go for it.

go to the interview and tell them your plans and if they are cool with then bobs your uncle and you got a better job.
