Hi all,

I just applied for a post bacc program and they mentioned that I need 2 LOR's one being from a science teacher. The problem is I have been out of college for several years and did not keep in touch with my professors. Assuming they are still teaching at the university should I try to talk to them and see if one of them will write me one? Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get around it? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Assuming you still live in the same area or can easily drive/get to your college, you should schedule to meet with a science professor whose class you did well in. It is best to not ask for a letter through email unless you are unable to meet with them. At the meeting, discuss your situation and see if they'd be willing to write you one.
