Ok, so right now I am entering my 3rd year, and am pre-nursing. I have planned on doing this for a while, but I have read that nursing is not a good idea if you plan to go pre-med because of the sheer difficulty of nursing school (this worries me as I don't want to tank my GPA). I also don't plan on being a RN but I wanted something to fall back on incase I did not get into med school. I am torn between nursing and exercise physiology. I can switch my major to EP, which has all of the pre-med reqs necessary to graduate. A possible problem would be that I am a 3rd year (Junior) already and will be very behind. I had planned on taking an extra year after I graduated from nursing school anyways to finish up my pre-reqs, so I figure being behing may not matter since I will be in school for another 3 years anyways. This would give me the time to catch up with the EP major. Can anyone offer any advice? Im really lost right now. I apologize if I am being confusing.

How are you in your third year but still pre-nursing?😕

It seems like you're aware of the pros and cons of each decision. One is a better fall back plan and one has a higher average GPA and thus gives you a better shot at medical school. I think at this point the decision you make needs to be a personal one.

Switched my major a couple times and came back to nursing, so I am a little behind.

Thanks for the advice.
