Hello friends,
I am in masters program in Oral Biology. I am planning to apply to residency programs in Perio after my masters. I will be finishing my current program in Aug 30th 2007. Most of the residency programs start in june or july, so i thought i will apply for 2008. Now i have a problem, i have 10 months after completing the current program and before strating my residency (Hopeful that i will get it somwhere). I dont have any job till now and i am an international student. So in order to maintain my F1 visa status, i have to be a student somewhere. I am in need of your suggestions and guidance in this issue. Are there any programs or jobs that i can do for a year? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you want to stay in America after your residency? If so, do you want to teach full time? If not, you should consider doing a DDS program so that you can get state licensure and practice where you want.

If you don't want to stay in America after your residency, or if you do, but only want to teach full time, then it sounds like you just need to remain a student for your visa status. Enroll in the local college and take Philosophy classes. While doing this, apply for residency.
