I am attending a CC right now and I will have all of my pre-pharmacy requirements completed in the spring. My GPA is a 3.0 and my PCAT score was not very good. I am retaking the PCAT in January so hopefully I can raise that up. I have 4 strong LORs, pharmacy experience, and extra-curriculars. What do I need to do in order to help myself out at getting an interview at any of the schools I applied too? I already sent in my pharmcas as well.

Definitely let the schools know you're going to retake the PCAT in January. At least one person has mentioned on SDN that they received an interview in anticipation of a good PCAT retake in January, after writing the associate dean. This may be a tactic to try - write a "letter of intent" type e-mail to a key contact & let them know you'd love to attend their school and that you just want to make sure your intention to retake is noted & the app is reviewed with that in mind.

Yeah, that last sentence was a run-on.

PS, :welcome:

I'm not sure what that says about you if 1) you have a 3.0 at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE and 2) you didn't do well on the PCAT. I don't think you could handle pharmacy school, personally.

You need to blow your PCAT out of the water if you want to stand a chance.

Dude, not all CCs are created equal. The ones I went to are equivalent to the 4 years - they have to be, as per their transfer agreements. I had to take the ACS exam at the end of O Chem II, which is not the case at many 4 years.

Please avoid making this into a "CC vs Uni" thread.
