I am a foreign trained dentist and we are discussing this question in other forum but could not reach to conclusive answer. I am posting here so we get correct reasoning to the answer. hope you all will advise.

Stapedectomy improves what?
a.basilar membrane association
b.semicircular canal endolymph movt
c.tectomembrane vibration
d.cell deformation

where are choices e. none of the above, f. a and b, g. all of the above? lol 😀

A stapedectomy is usually performed on patients with otosclerosis (formation of bone around the stapes footplate and oval window). It improves the ability of the ossicular chain to function properly, which in effect would have an impact on the the basilar membrane.

The footplate of the stapes pushes through the oval window, causing the fluid in the inner ear to move. From my understanding though, endolymph in the semicircular canals move in relation to our skull movements (balance)? I assume tectomembrane is tectorial membrane, and I'm not really sure what application it has here. Guess I'd go with A as well..
