Need serious help for OC RC

Doing my first round of Destroyer... I just did another set of 30 problems on my destroyer for OC and missed 21 questions lol..straight up killing my confidence (missed 13/30, 15/30 on first two sets)
I have no problem with bio/gc (getting ~75-80% right) but OC is seriously giving me trouble. I took OC over summer and I dont remember a thing.
I went through chads video once but Im having trouble remembering reactions/rules etc. What should I do?? Should I start by memorizing all the reagents from KBB or the roadmap?
Also I'm getting 16,17s on RC from CDR, am I in trouble or is that okay? Any advice?

That is OK, just make sure you are really learning from your mistakes and try not to lose your cool. Most people feel this way when going through the destroyer. I remember it getting easier as I worked through it. To answer your question, you should definitely learn the roadmaps inside and out. They saved me on several questions on the real DAT. As others have suggested, make copies and white out the products so that you can practice them as a worksheet. Do the same for the reactants, though this is less important. If you can't remember the rules/rxs from Chad's, you should revisit your areas of weakness. His material is very important and you must be solid on it come test day.

For CDR, try to get a technique down and stick with it. CDR isn't the best representation of the passages you will be seeing on your test. The real DAT is more science-oriented. I only took three CDR practice tests and got 19, 18, and 21. Got 21 on real thing. I was really worried about that section because during my earlier studies, I was switching my technique and was never seeing improvement (I did Achiever before CDR and an 18, 17, and three consecutive 15s). Eventually, I just stuck with what worked for me and continued to practice. I ran out of time at the end of the real test and had to guess on many questions for the third passage. Make sure you have your timing down!

i heard odyssey is too much of an overkill for DATs?
I just missed 19/30 on my next set.. I am ready to give up on this OC section lol

Also are the datQvault GC and OC scores and difficulty similar to the real DAT ?

Go through Chad's again, and take copious notes... AGAIN. I had to go through Chad's twice with detailed notes both times. I also wrote down all of the reactions that he went through and memorized those. I also made flashcards for all reactions from Roadmaps in Destroyer as well. Seemed to pay off as I got a 25 in ochem. Trust me, you can do it! 🙂
