Hi

I am an international student. I am graduated from University of Tehran in Iran with a bachelor in Microbiology. I am now a California resident and took DAT last February, My stats are AA19/TS21/PAT21
I have a +100 hours of volunteer work in USC Ostrow school of dentistry and 30 hours of shadowing in periodontics clinic there.
I'm also taking some prerequisite course like ENG 101 and 102 here in a community college.
I have submitted my application and my schools of choice are:
UCSF
WesternU
UoP
and UNLV

Do you think I need to apply for more schools so I can have more chances to get in?
Which school do you recommend for an international student?

Thank you

Usually it's not ideal to choose only four schools, and I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you're dead set on those schools. I think it's safe to say that an average is more in the neighborhood of 8-10 schools. As for recommendations for international, I can't accurately give you suggestions. Someone should be able to today though. Sorry and best of luck.

Thanks
I think you're right. I need to apply for more schools, but I still need to know which schools are more likely to accept international students. I heard that private schools are better choices for me since state universities have a priority on residents, then out of states and then foreign students.
My situation is pretty mixed up since I have a foreign degree yet I am a california resident.
