My DAT scores are:
AA: 21 TS: 19 BIO: 19 GC: 20 OC: 20 RC: 24 QR: 20 PAT: 16

GPA:
oGPA: ~3.83
sGPA: ~3.88
bcpGPA: ~3.9

Is my low PAT score going to really hurt my chances of getting in? I applied to 24 schools. What are my chances?
Also have 179 shadowing hours, 700+ community service/volunteer hours, and 3100+ hours of work experience

I submitted my application on 6/22... is that early enough?

Thanks for the help!

Let's wrap it up boys and girls, nothing to see here. This is an example of a super late application.

You'll get interviews, and that is what you were looking for so that is what I have provided.

Lol I hear about all these pre-dents that already got their application in the first batch or will be having their app sent next week.... I was just wondering if that 16 in the PAT is going to hold me back for interviews/acceptances.

Hopefully the earlier they get my app, the more they'll overlook it lol

Early is anything before August. If you have a great GPA, and great DAT you will beat a mediocore/average GPA first batch applicant. Just because they see your application first doesn't mean they're going to set you ahead of someone from July or August. Applications literally opened less than three weeks ago. You've got the GPA. You've got the AA. You've got the EC. Just go outside and do something fun for the next two months and then get ready for Fall.

futuredentist012 read this and don't doubt your chances again. Your DAT scores are O.K. The 16 in PAT won't hurt your chances. I have known students getting into dental school with 16s and 15s. If you have nothing else to submit, then you are done and you are good. It is early in the cycle. You just need to wait now, and read SDN/freak out while you wait for your interviews.

Good luck 🙂
