Need some advice~ Serious help needed!

Hey so basically my Science GPA Is a 2.8 and my cumulative gpa is a 3.05.

No excuses but I ****ed up freshman year- not knowing how to study really. I never really partied or anything but I never knew how to study as a freshman and didnt set my priorities straight.

Sophmore year summer I received a 3.75 in my 10 credits worth of summer classes (Orgo Lab + Human Parasitology + Physics 2)

I want to keep my trend up hopefully if i get a 4.0 this year (yes I know - sounds unreasonable but impossible is nothing- ill die trying but Im going to give everything I have left)

My ecs are decent: Started a global dental brigade, Executive board postion at pre-dental society, research in biofuel through an acclaimed research program at my university, over 200 hours of community service at a dental clinic, shadowed a dentist. Going to get my EMT license, vice president of a community service organization, etc. Started my own DJ company

The courses I am going to take this semester (my junior year) are:

Systems Physiology
Biology 101 (retaking it since the professor that teaches this - this semester is the easiest )
Invertebrate Zoology (upper bio elective)
Astronomy (to increase my science gpa)
Economics Upper Level course (minoring in economics)

Next Semester (Spring of Junior Year):

Genetics
Bio 102
Limnology (Upper Elective Course)
MicroBiology
(2 more science or econ classes)

Summer of This year:

Bio Chemistry
Anatomy
(MAYBE retaking Organic Chemistry since I feel really comfortable with it and its ALOT easier in the summer in my university)

Now honestly what should i do? Do i have any legit chance if I say ACE this whole year? I dont know if i should shoot for applying this year or next but I plan on taking my DATS in January or May.

I would not recommend retaking Biology unless you got lower than a C. Otherwise, it would be better just to take another higher level biology course and getting an A. Schools don't really like to see retakes. As for Org, you should probably not retake either unless you got a C (minimum requirement for most schools if not all). And of course it's easier, summer school is ALWAYS easier. I got dominated in Orgo at my Uni, and took it over summer at another Uni and Zzzz right through it. Joke. Anyway, not the point.

If you ace this semester, it would show an upward trend. Upward trend, 3.3GPA ish, and a 22+ DAT and you will do just fine.
Apply next cycle. It's too late for you this cycle. Besides, most people don't apply until the end of their Jr year anyway.

Start acing those classes now. You can always do a fifth year or more to boost your gpa. I honestly think you should get your science gpa up past 3.0 and more to a respectable level before you take your dat. Your gpa is your biggest worry right now, but it is repairable with time and hard work.

Like Dusk said focus on your GPA first and then worry about when you will take your DAT. You can definitely turn the GPA around with some long study hours. My freshman year (at community college) I average 2.9 overall with 35 credits. Unfortunately the classes which were bringing me down were science (General bio, physics, gen chem).

I took time off and came back to a 4 year university and received a 3.93 gpa for the next 100+ credits. For me it was figuring out that I needed to put in MORE time to guarantee those As. I ended up with a 3.61 GPA and 3.42 science gpa.

Good luck!👍

This shouldn't be your main concern. Your main concern is why the eff BBM is down. My life is pretty much over at this point.
