I have a 3.0 cgpa and 2.75 sgpa. Junior Psychology major. Can't do anything with Psych major. After college, I will not be supported by my family in terms of tuition so going to have to take loans for postbac or smp. Been taking out only Federal Loans that was award so far while my parents pay the rest. so should I pursue a different field for now just to get a good backup career(in my state school) in case dental school doesn't work out? I want my end result to be dentistry because I like the field.

An option is just sticking through it, working harder. I do have an upward trend but done some calculations and might not reach 3.0 sGPA before I graduate so definitely need to do postbac or smp. My parents will cut of my school funding if I do postbac or smp but will continue to pay for my CS classes 🙁 . Just have to rely on private loans for postbac or smp but i don't know how those work. Going to talk to a private bank or something.

Another option is to take CS classes and pursue that and still take bio classes but might not be able to handle all of that.
