I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you think it is wrong to call a person who interviewed you to tell them how interested you are. I have called the school, however, it does not seem to make a difference. It's important because school starts in a week and I still am on the waitlist!!! Any advice??? 😕 😕 😕

If school starts in a week, I would definitely do all that I could to get in. You have nothing to lose at this point so go ahead!

Usually interviewers just fill out a form and turn in a report. They may sit on the committee when you are being evaluated to give an opinion, but at most schools at which I interviewed, the interviewer had little influence on the final decision.

If you know that your interviewer has a place on the adcom, go ahead and call. If not, the Dean is the one to call.

CALL the dean. what's it gonna hurt all they can do is tell you no

Thanks!!! Do you really think I should just call the dean and not the person who interviewed me? I'm so nervous. Any suggestions on what I should say? 😕 😕

My advice is to send them a card saying "thank you for taking the time to interview me" and re-stating your strong interest in the school and program.

If you talk to them over the phone... it may work for you BUT it might very well be awkward and the interviewer might feel like they are in a 'tight spot' and you might make them uncomfortable. I think that a card is the BEST bet... if you call anyone, call the dean, they havn't met you before so you can introduce yourself like you did in your interview.

Regardless, good luck (and what school is this for?)

:luck: :luck: :luck:
