Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and I just wanted to ask a few questions.
I'm currently a second year college student with approximately 70 credit hours by the end of this year.
I was wondering if it would be a smart idea for me to apply after having all my prerequisites done without having completed a degree (I'm a business major).

-I will have all of my prerequisites done by Spring of 2013 (End of my third year of college).
-However, I highly doubt that I will complete my business degree by Spring of 2014 (End of my fourth year). And I will have to go an extra semester or two (Fall/Spring 2015) to finish my degree, which is not a problem for me.

My question is that: Lets say I apply after my third year (Summer 2013), and get into dental school. Will it matter if I won't have my college degree by the time I have to attend dental school? Will the school not take me in once they see that I have not completed my degree as they expected?

Apologies for the long post, hopefully it wasn't confusing =)

It really just depends on the school. I shopped around at a bunch of different schools in California and the only school that I found that regularly accepts students WITHOUT a BA or BS was UOP. Most of the schools will list their pre-reqs and say a recommended 90 units complete before matriculation. But if you look at their class statistics, almost all the students had a BA/BS.

For me, it did not matter. I was accepted at UOP without a BS and no plan to complete one. They were only concerned with my sGPA and DAT scores.

That said, i'd do some research at the schools you are looking at applying to and maybe call their admissions offices and see what they say. Good luck!
