Need some advice

Hey guys, I have completed my AMCOMAS application online and I have done by Personal Statement. I will be taking my MCAT July 26th. I want to submit my application so that it will be verified asap. My problem is that, I had a couple friends look at my Personal Statement and they said I needed to change it up a little bit. I have so much things to say on my personal statement that I wouldn't even know how to change it up.

Do you think I should apply to one school so that it gets verified? and If so would I be allowed to change up my personal statement when I start applying to the other 10 schools that I'm looking to apply too, once I figure out what my MCAT is and than. Let me know please.

P.S.

By the way if their are any experienced Personal Statement Critiques that would like to see my personal statement let me know. I know their is a special forum for that but Its like no one is responding to my messages on their and not enough volunteers.

I would wait a week to submit, and it that time try to get some constructive criticism on your PS. I am sure someone here could look at it.

When your friends tell you to "change it up a little bit," what do they reference or tell you to add? Knowing this, we can maybe be of more help. Are they telling you to relate the experiences in your PS more to medicine? Are they telling you to change the grammar/layout of the PS? Much can be inferred by "changing it up."

I am not sure about the submitting to one school and then changing your personal statement...

This is correct...also you should have people other than friends read your PS. They can be a bit helpful, but not a very big help.

It's still very early, get some more readers and make sure your PS is solid.

Okay sweet. So I was just going to submit my application with this personal statement (Let me know what you guys think if its a good Idea or not, those I sent it too) to a school that I know I wont actually go to; I'm just using it to submit my application. And after that when I take my mcat (July 26th), I feel good about it, I will re-work on my personal statement and start applying to the schools I want. Let me know what you guys think! Appreciate the replies from all of you guys!
