Hello, I am a Canadian student in my sophomore year of my health-sci program. I'm currently taking all the medical school pre-reqs with the idea of going to medical school. I have shadowed an anesthesiologist and found the scope of it all very interesting. Lately, I've been questioning medical school all together (amount of time, debt, Ridiculously high GPA`s needed for Canadian Medical schools) and have instead been looking at other options. I`ve seen they have an AA (Anesthesiologist Assistant) Masters Degree in the states and it seems very interesting.
As a Canadian student, would it be wise for me to go for a US masters degree hoping to get a job in the US as I am aware the use of AA`s in Canada is relatively nil. I have an interest in anesthesia, and I am just looking at alternatives to medical school so I can Pursue this. I`d appreciate any advice.
Thanks.
