Hello again 😉

I have some questions regarding some schools I'm looking into.
Public:
University of Michigan School of Dentistry
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry
University at Buffalo School of Dentistry
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
Private:
UoP
Columbia
Penn

My question is.. cons and/or pros of any of these schools?
If it helps I'm in Nebraska, minority, and female... Overall gpa 3.8 and science gpa 3.7. I haven’t taken the DAT yet, but I hope I can get at least a 20. I have some volunteer experience in a hospital and research experience with a paper that will be published. Spanish is my first language.
But I'm lacking in the shadowing department, which I'm going to do ASAP.
I'm trying to pick 4 out of these 7 schools.. so any feedback would be great 🙂

Go to their websites and check out their stats, tuition, curriculum, and locations. Then make your own decisions.

P.S. I heard Buffalo is a good school.

who cares, are you looking for special treatment??? I can't wait till 2025 when I'm an official minority.

Seriously, why would you list that? Aren't we all equal?

I actually did that before posting here. However, I just wanted some feedback from people that actually know the schools and not from the websites. 😉

No, I am not looking for special treatment.. I just listed that because I've heard that some schools take that into consideration.. like being female.
I really don't care, I'm just wondering. I know I qualify either way.

well i'd stay away from VCU and buffalo along with michigan, unless you are from those states or have some sort of strong tie to the state, otherwise sick with the private schools, like uop and some other ones u had listed

why stay away from buffalo? they seem to take a fair number of out of staters.

man, thats just racist. "i cant wait until 2025 when i'm an official minority"?! that's the kind of crap i hear from underachieving suburban white kids at my high school who gave crap to that little chinese girl that went to harvard. (p.s. asians dont even get affirmative action when it comes to that stuff)

to the minority comment...yes, everyone should be treated equally, but it doesn't happen all the time. and to you becoming a minority in 2025 or whatever, good for you. to all the minorities out there, be damn proud!
