Hello, guys.
I had an interview yesterday, and need some feedbacks...I will remove this thread after I have some genuine feedbacks.

Here is a story.
I thought I would going to have a nice interview because the interviewer started by saying, " Oh, you are a high potential candidate and very nice application." BUT it was a line of future attack...
He started to pinpoint in a small matter that others would not really picky about. I cannot say the specific things, but he was literally trying to make me really pissed off. I was not ready for these unnecessary questions, so I was little perplexed. But I tried my best to answer his questions. All his questions were generally negative including the questions that are not intended to attack me.
At some point, I was little flustered and I did not even know what I was saying in one question, but I manage to finish this question somewhat okay..

I know some people are unlucky in that they have very high stressful interviews, just like what I had. But he did not give a chance to talk about the school or more about myself. In the middle of the talk, he repetitively said that "I know you are a high candidate." But I am not sure what his intention for this....

I had a really short interview about 20 minutes? I know that this is not a good sign generally...This was one of my top choices, so I am just depressed right now.

Do you guys think I am really screwed up??
Thank you for reading this thread and I wish I could have genuine feedbacks...AND GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE~

Just to include my stat, I have over 3.9 in science and overall GPA. 23,24,24 on my DAT, and I have decent amount of extracurricular activities.

You need to calm down. I wouldn't worry too much about it since you can't really change what happened. Your interviewer could have been asking you those questions to see how you handle a high pressure/intense situation. I'm sure you did fine, so just move on and learn from the experience.

Lol, at one of my interviews, my interviewer started it off with "This isn't going to be fun for you...like, at all. I have several concerns about your application that I need to get to the bottom of..so have a seat." And then he proceeded to tell me how my stats were far below their standards and grill me about my grades.

I think for both of us, our interviewer was trying to make us feel uncomfortable to see how we deal with pressure. You've clearly proven yourself smart enough, I'm sure he just wanted to see that you're not socially awkward and quiet. The interview is all about showcasing your personality, so it doesn't reallllly matter what you answered, but more so how you answered. It might be helpful to tell us what kind of questions he was pressuring you about and how you answered it.

I think he was just busting your ass for having great stats. With stats like those, would finding out more about your non academic affairs really matter? No not really in my opinion. So in order to make interview worth anything, I think he asked you some hard questions. Give us more info; I'd like to know more. Where' was this at? Harvard, if so, then that's probably why you got asked those questions?

It was not Harvard... I dont want to risk saying the specific school, but it will not be the pool of schools that you are thinking... I look for the particular region as my major component of choosing DS, not how much it is hard to get in.

Wow, my heartbeat would have doubled and my throat would've tightened up immediately upon hearing that! I hope that you performed well in that interview!!

As for EGAR, I think it is difficult to really understand for us what the situation was really like because of your vagueness. I think that it is probably a good thing that your interviewer was getting in your grill like that, because he was probably just putting you through his refiner's fire. Just wanted to make sure that you were nothing more than just a book nerd (which your numbers kind of scream out). I'm sure that you're not one, though! It seems from last year's entries that a lot of people who come out of their interviews saying, "Oh, crap!!!" get into those schools!

The school is playing hard to get with you hahaha

It sounds like a tactic to see how well you respond to adversity. It's quite possible that the interviewer was testing your demeanor in a possible future office setting in which your patient could challenge/contradict your diagnosis, credibility, credentials and/or treatment plan. Interviewees who got defensive or combative would fail the interview while those that kept their poise and professionalism would pass. So which one were you?

You're in, promise. With high stats and a good public program, most interviews are like this. I applied to Stony Brook ( CA resident) and the guy who interviewed me killed me, no jk. I walked out and I was shocked; he asked me NMR questions, politics, research that I was doing etc...

But I got in. After hearing similar stories from ppl applying to schools with limited spots ( 35-50), I figured its nomral. As long as you remain calm and try your best, you will get in. Unless you go mental and try to fight back. There was a kid that yr from UW-madison 4.00 gpa biochem major, 24 AA. He had the same experience and was rude in answering questions. Obvi he didnt make it.

I don't remember much about NMR. I barely give a damn about politics. I can speak a bit on my research but I doubt that's going to carry me through an entire interview.

Yikes!

You just outlined by biggest fear. I can practically see myself dripping in sweat as he's saying those words.

BINGO!
Did you ever hear of the "Good Cop/Bad Cop" interview method?
