I'm a sophomore at a community college and need some advice on my medical journey.
Here's where I'm at:
My first year at CC went very poorly: 3 W's, 2 NP's, 1 F, and 2 C's, 2.9 GPA. I was dumb and played around; I didn't really know what to do either. I'm planning on doing a 3rd year at CC, so I've still got 2 more years here, then 2 years at whatever 4-year I transfer to (preferably UCLA or SD). I just recently decided I wanted to pursue medicine, so I'm still learning about the whole process, but I want to say I'm passionate about it and am willing to work hard at it.
My plan right now is to get my GPA up, maybe get a clinical job, and/or volunteer in the meantime.
What's your advice to someone in my position? What should I prioritize and work on right now? Is it possible to come back from a bad freshman year?
