At the end of last semester, a professor was accepting applications to become a Research Assistant in her lab. I applied and I eventually got the position for this upcoming fall.

She told me to e-mail her at the beginning of this semester when I got to campus so that we can set up a lab meeting and discuss my duties and everything.

The problem is I have no idea how to start the e-mail. She said she was looking for a few new RA's so I have no clue if she actually remembers me by name or not.

Any advice on how to compose this e-mail?

Thank you.
