Need Some Insane Help: Accepted to Med School but Probation

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Even though the advice to get a lawyer is thrown around too much on this forum, I'm going to have to tell you now that you should probably get off this thread and go talk to a lawyer. This is a pretty serious situation, and I know you will not get the help you need on this forum.

At some point, I'm sure you will have to tell the school (you are supposed to report these sorts of things). I cannot say how it will affect you, but that's probably why you should get a lawyer to help you figure it out. Sexual cases will not look good, so fight this.

tl;dr: get off SDN and talk to a lawyer.

I think that even if you have already passed the background check and this happened afterward, you are obligated to inform the school that of your probational status. What you might want to consider doing is to contact the admissions department of the school and ask whether this will jeopardize your acceptance. OF course, you are reluctant to do that because you want to avoid conflict, but perhaps don't provide your name but describe what would be the issue if a person is put on "final disciplinary probation." But if it is not appealed successfully, I believe you eventually will have to tell the school. If you don't you might get by, but if they found out later once you matriculated, they could kick you out and perhaps blackball you from other schools in the future.

Good advice

So you'd already been accepted to multiple top medical schools, but you were too busy with school to cuddle for a few minutes after your first sexual encounter with this girl? That doesn't add up.

Seems like if she's really out to get you, the med school you attend will find out no matter what. It's better if you tell them first. A lawyer would probably be a good idea.

Just explain your situation to the girl.

Be cool, calm and polite, but make sure she knows if she ****s up your chances at med school you're going to kill her.

Wow...future doctors of America, everyone.

You would do well to follow this OP. No one here is going to be able to give the info you really need. All you're going to see are a bunch of pre-meds arguing about something only very, very slightly related to what's being discussed. Find out all the details from your school, anonymously call the school you are likely to matriculate at to find out any information they might provide, and go to talk to a lawyer to see if you might have any sort of recourse. You very well may not since this is an internal matter rather than a criminal suit. Again, though, this is something no one here will be familiar with, so you should go discuss it with someone who actually knows something.

However, based on your responses so far, you likely won't do this and/or are trolling and this entire story is fake, so good luck to you.

Furthermore, background check was complete without anything bouncing back. I've never had anything on my disciplinary or criminal record and been nothing but a positive role model for campus.

and

It just appears to me that a probation for a major violation seems like there was obviously no real wrong-doing. Probation does not get put on transcripts.

I am not sure why you even posted your initial question. You don't seem to want help with this "dilemma" at all. In fact I think Nick Naylor hit the nail on the head.
