My school is going to have winter break from Dec 10th to Jan 19th. I am thinking travel to my country to see my parents (It has been a long time) but I am also afraid that I may miss the possible interview during that period. Does any dental school conduct interview during the winter break? Since I need at least one month to get my new visa. If I decided to go back, I have to stay there until I get my visa. Would you recommend me to go or stay? Thanks!

If this happened to me,

I would go see my parents, especially if it has been a long time.
Parents come first.

You won't even be gone for that long.

If a school offers you an interview, reply saying that you unfortunately have pre-existing commitments until Jan 19th and that you would be so grateful if they could offer you an alternate date.
