Please take a look at the following and tell me what I should do to improve my apps.

Major: Chem E, just started 3 year

1. I went through an extremely stressful event towards the end of my first quarter and my GPA stuck around 3.3 for a while. I realized I had to get back on my feet or else I was in trouble, and my GPA for the past 3 quarters is 3.5, 4.0, 4.0.

2. I am about to get my first W and it will be a math elective. My other option is to get ~B in the class.

3. Quarter system, so I have to take 3 classes for my pre-reqs. The reason I don't have all A's is because I did not study or put time in (I was held up and too stressed out at this point).
Bio: Took the easiest one, and I got a B.
Gen Chem: A-'s in all 3
O-Chem: B's in the first two, taking the 3rd one currently and an A- is what I am staring at this point.
Physics: Got B+'s in the first two. Bombed my exam the other week so I might end up getting a B or below in this third one.
Math: Got a C in my 3rd calculus class, but I made up for it by taking some upper level math courses and got A's in both.
Organic lab: I took the first one, got an A. Will take 2nd one soon, will probably get an A.

4. I am near the top of my Chem E classes. I did research over the summer and will get my name on the paper. I will also be submitting a research proposal before my 3rd year is over.

5. I have no activities or clubs. I have about 60 hours of volunteering. Half in a hospital, other half in places like American Red Cross. I was a TA for my Gen Chem course for a quarter. I *might* TA for one of my Chem-E courses.

6. My cum GPA is a little over 3.45. I will most likely end up with a 3.5-3.6 by the end of this year. If that happens, I will for sure end up with a 3.6-3.7 by the end of my senior year.

7. I will ask a math professor who won an international math medal for a letter of recommendation(I was his top + favorite student, I have a feeling he will write one for me no questions asked). I will also get one from professor I did research with over the summer, I was also at the top of his class.

8. I have no intention on doing graduate school.

9. I am not a minority or disadvantaged.

I am currently looking at:

> Getting in more volunteering, shadowing.

> Getting a part time job at a grocery store.

Please post if you need more information.

you will likely need letters of recommendation from 2 science professors who taught you for a grade. Id also recommend leadership. Why you over all the other perfectly well qualified applicants? also rock the MCAT
