Hi all sdn members,

I need to know procedure to join dental assitant work in MD.
I have been sending resume to lot of people for this position but no response😡. Can anyone tell me how to get DA job in MD? I really need help in this matter ...

hi,
i am a licensed dentist in MD.
i believe before you can get any job as an assistant you need to have a certification for DA & preferably a Xray certification as well.
you need to go through a dental assisting school to be certified as an assistant.
you will need CPR certification as well.
you cannot work without a license in any US state.
you can observe in a dental office but nobody will allow you to touch a patient.
contact Maryland state board of examiners for fine details on the matter.

I am FTD and i want to have some work experience to enhance my resume. I need U.S experience as I worked as Dentist for years back home. The only thing is these days experience in U.S is so important to get into dental school.

This is not true. Many US states allow FTD work as DA without a DA license. Unlike ADA for DDS, there is no AUTHENTIC national license certification for DA. Different states have different requirement for people who want to be DA.
