Need to make a decision - advice needed!

(see other thread for details on the situation - I wanted to start a new thread so that people don't think I'm an MS1 thinking about boards)

To make a long story short, I got shafted and can't take my boards here until well into my rotations.

I don't think I should take my boards during the rotation - I'd probably fail or at the very least do poorly - so the school has offered to swap my schedule around so that I have my elective period first instead of my rotation.

One other option is for me to quickly make arrangements in another state to take my boards. So my question for you all is - which schools out there take their boards early, so that I might have a chance of finding a spot within the next five days? Somewhere cheap would be best, since we're talking a last-minute plane ticket, a hotel, and a rental car.

it's hard to say, since most of prometic centers house all sort of tests, but i think by now most schools are done with their step 1's. at least most ones in nyc, or close to nyc. good luck

there are many in southern cali too. It is probably closer to you. I'd definitely do that.
