Need to raise my COMSAE score

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Holy ****, that's rediculous. 400 is passing the COMLEX. Some schools have a 430 COMSAE cut off. Some schools have a 450 COMSAE cut off. 500 though?.... Good luck.

That policy is brutal-- my condolences.

I'd switch to Combank for a while. UWorld is the better bank overall, but Combank is apparently pretty representative of the weird question style COMLEX uses as well as the question distribution (more bugs and drugs, less biochem). I've heard good things about Comquest too, but since my school provided us with Combank I didn't end up buying it. Studying for the COMSAE instead of USMLE sucks, but at least you'll be doing double duty studying for the COMLEX.

As far as OPP goes, blast through Savarese once. Know your sympathetic and parasympathetic levels cold-- once you have them down they're free points. Same goes for Chapman's points. The sacrum was pretty high yield on my COMSAE.

Strategy-wise: reading the actual question, then going back through the rest of the prompt can help. Combank/COMLEX is big into giving you lots of unnecessary information. For example, if the last sentence lets you know you're ultimately picking out an antibiotic, you'll know that you don't really need to waste time with the sacral findings they give you to get to your answer.
