Anyone know where I can do some volunteer time for a dentist in the San Francisco area? I'm working fulltime right now at UCSF and I'm having trouble finding a dentist who is willing to let me do some hours on the weekends with him/her. My dentist's office isnt open on the weekends. Thanks in advance.

are you serious? every dental office i know is open on Saturday, including specialists.... all the Asian dentists at least! plenty of dental offices open on the weekends in the sunset district; just walk in and offer your service.

go to UCSF dental school, since you work for them you should have no trouble finding their dental clinic. Talk to someone is student affairs and see if there is any volunteer work available.

UCLA has a volunteer program, I am sure UCSF has one too.

UCSF has free clinic for homeless people on Tuesday's and Thursday's nights. That will be a good chance to know the faculty and students. If you are lucky, you might know your interviewers from the free clinic before the interview.

Is there a link to this clinic online or perhaps a phone number I can call? I can't seem to find information on this homeless free clinic anywhere. The only one that i'm aware of is the one in Berkeley.

Here is the link, http://www.ucsf.edu/hdc/index.html
The clinic starts at 6pm tomorrow and I think the clinic is located in the 2nd floor of dental clinics building. Just stop by and ask the staff, especially mention that you are working at UCSF.
