I am scheduled to take OAT next Wednesday (11/19) for the first time.
I just took my first practice test.. (one of the two practice sets from small Kaplan book) and these are my scores:

Bio: 330
GC: 300
OC: 300
RC: 320
Phy: 280 (!!)
QR: 360

I heard that Kaplan problems are harder than the actual OAT.. but I was kinda expecting higher scores..
I have an interview with ICO on Dec 5th and I really want to take OAT before the interview.. but do you think I should reschedule my test and study more??
Any opinions are appreciated.. Thanks.

Just take the OAT next week, since you've scored at least 300 or better on every section except physics on the Kaplan practice test, and like you mentioned the practice test is more difficult than the real OAT. The actual OAT physics IMO is not too difficult. Since you have one more week, I would work on improving your physics score, and any other areas of weakness. Good luck.

Actually, only 3 days left!!!! 😱
But.. I think I will just take it on the scheduled day cuz I don't think I wanna postpone the test and suffer from it more..
I just finished going over the problems I got wrong, and many of them was from just a simple mistakes.. I guess I really need to pay more attention on details. Need to study more, especially physics!
Thank you very much for your advice!!! =D

Look at other people's score posts on here to see where you stand.

Take the OPTED test, it is a much better gauge.

I scored ~50 points better on OAT than Kaplan (1 week before) on all sections. Physics I jumped from 290 (kaplan) to 370 (oat) without too much cramming in between, just reviewing the basics. Good Luck!

Trust me, those scores are not horribly bad for Kaplan. You WILL score higher on the actual OAT. And yes, do the Opted exam before you make any decisions regarding the time of your test date.

OMG, I am taking the OAT on Weds. as well, and I am getting around the same Kaplan scores as you so I totally know how you feel! I'm super stressed and nervous...I can't control the nervousness because I somehow fear that I will do worse on the real thing than better. Anyways, I hope what everyone says about scoring higher will be true. Good luck to the both of us=)

Thank you very much everyone!!
Hopefully I will do better on the actual test =)
I am planning to take the opted practice test today and I will probably have a better idea on where I stand..
Maybe I will post that score as well.. haha

Anywa, Good luck to you too Qandolak!!!!!!!

your probably done with the opted exam already, but for future reference to anyone who might be looking at this thread, try to take the opted test (i know this is hard cause its paper and the real one is on the computer) at the time that you are scheduled to take your real test, and model the conditions that like the section timing, the breaks, and the quietness of room!!! I even went so far to eat the same food that I planned on eating on that day, to make sure it didn't add any additional bathroom breaks that I didn't have!!!
