Hi,

For me, biology section is the most difficult section among DAT sections and I would like to know what I should do. I am planning on taking DAT in late-May, so I have a few months to prepare for it, but I have Kaplan blue book, barron's, and another prep book to work on.

Besides that, I know that Chad's video website and Khan academy have biology sections.
What are the great sources you would recommend?

Thanks for reading!

I only used the Kaplan book for studying..i scored a 22 bio on the test bc I literally knew EVERYTHING from the biology section. I read and outlined it and then reread my outline multiple times per day. If you can pull that off you'll be fine..to supplement, use notes from your bio classes and take the test preps online!

Barron's AP bio + DATQvault

This thread belongs in the DAT discussion section.

There was a set of biology notes floating around here somewhere that I used the last couple of days before the test. It was a great summary of information from the Barron and the Kaplan Blue book. I ended up having a lot of questions with answers directly from that so I would search around and try to find it.

The sources above should suffice. The bio section is more of a survey than anything. Additionally, do a search for alan's notes, which people seem to find helpful. You can also take a look at my breakdown in which I post the notes I wrote up from the Barrons book during my studying if youd like.

I found the Sparknotes AP Bio review to be very helpful. Also the DAT Destroyer.

memorize the entire destoryer bio section answers. I got a 26 on the bio that way ;-)

I personally found it really useful to watch the bio videos on Khan Academy. Something about the way he explains things really made sense to me, and it was a great way to cement the concepts I had trouble with. After that, DAT Destroyer and Kaplan questions are good for testing your knowledge.

Cliff's ap bio. This book has everything that you will need to know!
I highly recommend this.

I highly recommend this.

Also Bio Destroyer. Many questions were very similar, although not identical.
