So here's the deal. I'm currently attended a community college and waiting for reply to transfer to a university as an undergraduate so that I can complete bio chemistry and molecular genetics in order to transfer to Washington State University. I want to apply for the pharmacy school in the Fall 2010. Should I apply and what if I don't get to transfer in order to take those two classes?? Also I have not even taken the PCAT yet! I only need 6 more classes to take included bio chemistry and molecular genetics. What should I do??

Thanks in advance!

Make a schedule of what you will do in case you stay at your community college, and also what you will do when you get to transfer. If things work out, you have a plan. If they don't, you have a backup plan.

Apply to wherever you can, and see if you can get accepted. If you are, then consider the school where you were accepted, and attend if you want to go there.

Your post wasn't too easy to decipher in some parts. So you're hoping to finish these 6 classes by the end of Summer so you can enter pharmacy school in the Fall of 2010, right?

If that's the case, it's doable, but you need that transfer that will allow you to complete those two science courses you mentioned.

Also, from the Washington State College of Pharmacy site:

Note: PCAT will be required for fall 2011; it is not required for fall 2010."

I think you mean you want to apply for 2011 matriculation right? If you havent reached the maximum credit hours for classes taken at a CC and if you dont get into WSU, then take those classes at the CC. I dont really encourage this type of track, but I do know several people that have taken their pre-reqs at a CC and have been accepted into pharmacy school. Just make sure you get A's, because its all relative.
