Hey guys,
Im kinda debating on retaking a premed class again. I got all C's in my organic chemistry series. And i currently have a 2.81 overall GPA, and a 2.7 science GPA. should i retake organic chemistry again at a city college? I need advice cause city college is starting next week.

If those are the classes that brought down your GPA then yes, retake them. If there are other courses that you have a D/F in then put priority on those FIRST and get A's in them. It'll impact your GPA better for the AACOMAS.

Since city college is starting next week then I would suggest just retaking you Ochem series.

Your not getting into medical school with that gpa. You may even have trouble landing a post bacc acceptance. Retake those C's ASAP! Good luck!

Thank you, is there an app you guys use to calculate your GPA with replacements, especially science GPA? also i heard MD schools average your GPA .

Just track a list of your course work and then replace it with whatever grade you get. Then search "GPA calculator" and use the replaced grades.

Yes MD schools will do that.

Don't think about applying until you take enough retakes to get both GPAs above a 3.0. Many schools have automatic cutoffs there or above. I wouldn't expect much love from MD, but you might as well apply if you have the money and get a high MCAT. If you get below a 30 (or whatever it is now like 510 or something), continue other retakes until you're in the 3.2-3.3 range.

Thanks for all the advice people. I've been sulking about my GPA for the past months after i graduated. but i realize whats done is done, and i have to move forward. you guys have really motivated me to manage my failures. 🙂
