brs path says memb glomerulopathy is the mcc of nephrotic in adults
uw says focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is the mcc
which 1 is correct?
thanks

I was taught that it was membranous glomerulonephritis as the major primary cause of nephrotic syndrome. Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is the big one if HIV/AIDS is present.

FSGS just recently exceeded MGN as the main primary cause of nephrotic syndrome.

I thought it was Membranous in the normal adult population and Focal Segmental in HIV/AIDS.
