nervous that everyone else found housing

at my school I am attending, I am a ghost on their facebook page.

two questions:
1) why is everyone so stressed about the finals schedule this early? everyone is so obsessed with it
2) everyone who post about housing says "I know I am super late to the roomate scramble, but....." I have not even begun looking for housing. Should I be stressed?

Well, it depends on the city. I am stressed -- haven't looked for housing because not sure if spouse will find a job in time. The latest I'll wait is early July-mid July, but I will be matriculating in a dense, urban area.

I think you should at least start looking for someone to room with. It can be a lengthy process. I went through about 3 people before finally locking in a spot with a current first year...well second year now.

One guy seemed like he was on board but then I found out on facebook that he had accepted an offer elsewhere; completely neglected to tell me. Had another guy pull out at the last second and now he's going somewhere else (he was actually cool about it though). But it's like WTF lol.

People can be waaayyy too indecisive; plans change frequently. You want to know that you gave yourself enough time to weed out the baddies so that you're not stuck at the end of the summer, stressed out bc you don't have a roommate.

I'd at least start shopping around with someone soon.
