So my test is coming up this Saturday and I feel prepared I guess but I am just starting to get really nervous. How to deal with this? I don't want my nerves to get in the way of my performance...

I know! I do i just don't know why I am getting so nervous. How can I deal with it? I am trying not to think about it but when I do my hands start shaking lol

Gym or some sort of physical activity always mellows me out before a big event(test, presentation). I usually do it the morning of.

I've stated this a few other places, but meditation is KEY. I'm no Gandhi and haven't been trying to meditate for more than a week, but once I was checked in, I sat there for about 5-10 mins (before I walked to my computer) and focused on my breathing. I went in semi-calm.

At the break, I ate my Special K bar, used the restroom, then went to the computer with about 10 mins left in my break. Sat down, closed my eyes, and just focused in breathing and chilled.

The second time meditating REALLY helped, as I made 22s on both RC and QR, and it was my first time takig the test. I will also be retaking in December as my other scores were all 18 or below.

yeah i was thinking about that as well..i think i might use the tutorial time to calm myself down instead of rushing into the test right away

i am asking because i once took the mcat and was prepared and all but didn't do well because i was shaking and anxious the entire time through the test

Run around the park, play a sport, chat with some friends, cook, eat, watch a movie, if you play an instrument try that..

On test day the nerves will go away when you begin. You'll get into the zone as soon as you read the first question. Remember you've been preparing for this and you know you're READY. You'll be fine, good luck dude.

I was shaking in the beginning too and paid a hefty price for it. Ironically I didn't study a damn thig for RC & QR and those were by far my two highest and I pulled out an 18 AA and I am happy, but still retaking because I know I can do better especially with the PAT.

you guys got this!!! good luck and trust yourself and all those countless hours you poured into mastering the DAT!! :luck:😀
