Grey's Anatomy. Best medical documentary you'll find...most others don't go as in depth on the social ramifications of being a surgeon, nor follow them for such a long period of time.

Doogie Howser, M.D.

Scrubs is the best mix of comedy/entertainment as well as being 'kinda sorta realistic'.

Grey's Anatomy if you want sex, surgeons and ummm sex...

House if you want to watch Hugh Laurie (which is good enough reason to watch imo).
Now now, you forgot 'plus lots of random crazy disasters and sudden death, to the point where even the characters start constantly commenting about how randomly hazardous their lives are.'

I enjoyed "A Young Doctor's Notebook" which is a historical drama with a dream like quality by which I mean that an older physician looks at a notebook kept during his first year of practice in early twentieth century Russia and sees himself as a young man in a kind of flashback.

House is good but really long. Could have cut a couple seasons off. The medicine is horrible though so just watch for Hugh Laurie.
Scrubs is just wonderful. I can watch it over and over. A lot of aspects of it I hear are pretty realistic.
Royal Pains is really good too. A little less focus on the medicine than the other shows, but the medicine isn't just outrageous like on House. It's decent, and the story line is great. I really enjoyed that one.
