Netter's Histo Flashcards Sufficient?

I understand that histology is low yield material for Step I, which is why I don't want to spend way too much time studying it. I have Netter's Histo Flashcards already. Does anyone know if these flashcards are sufficient to study for at least the non-histopath material? I was looking at BRS Histo and it looks like overkill compared to this.

i have netter's histo, anatomy, musculo, and neuro cards on my iphone and browse through a few whenever i'm afk. i wouldn't rate any of them very highly as there's a predominance of low yield stuff (i.e. an h&e section of the eyelid). realistically the odds favor seeing a TEM of the renal filtration barrier, the squamocolumnar junction in the cervix, and maybe a TEM of a sarcomere. the rest is basically a crapshoot.

i also have lange biochem, micro, pharm, and path and tend to use those more often as they probably cover 60+% of what you'll see on your test. not bad for under 1000 cards.

i've checked out brs micro, pharm and anatomy and trashed them after a few minutes.

Thanks for the response rahulb. So, are you saying that Netter's Histo Flash is overkill too? What would you say is adequate material for a low yield topic like histo?

if you're having problems identifying sections try thumbing through rapid review path and stare at the pictures/captions. if the problem lies in answering histology-based questions (i.e. zellwegers, i-cell, refsum's etc) try the kaplan lecture notes which can be done in a few hours.

i thought first aid + uworld/qbank is enough for most of the images. i haven't really seen anything that completely stumped me. when it comes to media-based Qs, i try to visualize everything i read in first aid as it would appear under a microscope and on gross section. if i can't come up with a rough mental picture, i'll wiki it.

Ditto. I did not review a single histo text/resource prior to step1. I would have if I had time, but priority wise it was low & I never got to it. I don't regret it - that subject as a whole basically didn't appear on my exam...
