So from what i hear...first aid isnt enough for neuro and i think Phloston and a bunch of others made that point....so just curious...

Could i simply just rely on High Yield Neuroanatomy only without using first aid as my step 1 neuro source (hence ignore first aids section)...

Another option if that isnt enough is use BRS neuroanatomy which is over the top but not really since I noticed that its dense mostly because of the problems and other stuff but what i noticed was that HY neuroanatomy literally plagiarized (exact figs with very overlappig text) brs neuroanatoy but condensed it.

This is obviously in addition to annotating from UW of course...ideally i would look to just use HY plus UW plus FA Neuro pharm to cover all my bases

Your neuroanatomy for the Step1 is going to come from lots and lots of practice questions and the neuro-only sections of Kaplan anatomy lecture notes.

That and your "external knowledge" from class.

Just do lots of questions (like you already know) and hit those images from the Kaplan notes.

Another option is maybe just using pathoma cns annotated onto first aid FA and calling that sufficient

You'd have to get a fairly neuro-light exam for that to be enough. My cousin literally got the 3 FA hematomas in a row on his final block, and that was it, lucky as hell. Others have mentioned getting a lot of neuro on their exam.

I think Kaplan and/or HY Neuro is probably a legit substitute, as Phloston mentioned already. If you get hit with cross sections, you're toast because neither FA or Pathoma hit on those well.

Yeah heres what i realized...high yield is incredible for neuroanatomy alone (you get sections, the pathways, and mris) FA annotated with pathoma is awesome for solely the path plus its embryo...so I honestly think those three are gold...finally, annotate with UWorld into FA....if pics are the issue then maybe webpaths CNS section (a quick halfhour glance) can be icing on the cake...hows that for efficiency

Fortunately im taking neuro now and while my lecture notes are gold, I dont need 30 pages on alzheimers
