Hi,
I am doing a Neurology rotation as a second year resident as I only did one month last year (transferred programs). It is in a community program and not with a Neurology department/Residency. So I essentially work with a board certified neurologist who does consults on the medicine service. I learn a ton and it's a great rotation, but I was wondering, will this rotation suffice for credit for ABPN completion requirements for psych residency?

I am the first transfer resident in a long time so this has never really been looked into. All of my co residents did their neurology 1st year at another institution.

Thanks

One would presume as long as your residency (which is accredited) certifies you meet all requirements for board certification, you'll be fine. I don't believe the boards go through every individual resident rotation-by-rotation and site-by-site.
