Anyone know the starting salaries for Gen Neuro, say, in a midwestern suburb? What about mid salary?

Rule of thumb is medscape is wayyy low, the other ones are crap, and the only true one is MGMA, which you have to pay for but floats around every now and then on here.

It varies greatly by practice type and call schedule, etc. it’s probably close to 300k depending on the suburb. Chicago suburb is nowhere near that but suburb of Des Moines is well above it.
But neuro is definitely growing and the need is insane and only getting bigger. Yeah residency sucks but there’s a reason why it’s slowly gaining popularity cuz wow you can have a Cush life if you choose to.

I’m applying this year and my preceptor literally spent a day talking about this stuff so that and personal experience on rotations are my sources
