Hello, I'm currently a first year Psych. student (in the BA), and more and more I think I would like to one day become a neuropsychologist (only I didn't know it before or I probably would have been more prepared). I was wondering if grad schools prefer a BA or BS, or if it really matters? I plan on eventually taking some science courses, as well as a minor in neuroscience, but I only ask because I don't have the proper high school credits towards getting into the BS--yet. I can start taking them online, only it's going to cost a fortune and may affect my GPA (having to take extra courses during school might kill me, plus I was never the greatest at math or physics, which are required.) I'm just really conflicted here: I want to keep up my GPA, but I'm struggling as it is with courses that come more easily to me (although I've heard higher grades come with time and it's harder for a first year student.) Anyway, I was wondering if anybody could help me out; would it be best for me to switch to the BS and hope it turns out well, or stay in the BA and take science courses (I was even considering a chemistry or biology minor on top of my neuroscience minor)? Does it really matter as long as my courses help "back up" the knowledge needed for neuropsychology, or is a BS always preferred?
(By the way, sorry this is a bit long.😱)

really doesnt matter

It doesn't matter. Make sure your GPA is 3.5+, you gain research experience, and you take a sufficient number of psychology courses. The first two things are the most important. Also try to avoid taking on any extra debt.
