Any idea exactly how difficult it is to match into a neurosurgical residency? Also, what are the chances that you would match to the place where you went to medical school?

its pretty much ~80% match rate for US seniors. You'll probably have a leg up on matching where you go to med school.

So if you attend one of the top 10 medical schools in the world, you would, if you had lets say a 3.8 average, have the ability to get into your medical school's neurosurgical residency?
